As we reach the end of 2025, it is only natural to reflect on the journey of the past 12 months. It has been a year marked by milestones, unforgettable moments, and inspiring achievements that reflect the growth and strengthening of the Scholarship Programme. In this text, we share the main highlights of the year.

Events

In 2025, we held two editions of Quiz Night, a tradition that takes place once each semester and brings members of our community together for a joyful event in support of education. Altogether, around 250 people attended, including several generations of current students and alumni, parents, and supporters of the Foundation. The evenings were filled with fun and solidarity, further strengthening our community bonds.

This year also marked the 25th edition of International Day, led by the PTA. This is St. Paul’s largest fundraising event and celebrates the cultural diversity of our community while supporting important causes. The Foundation, as the school’s main supported organisation, led more than ten stalls at the British Fête — featuring games and attractions for children — with the support of scholars’ families and many volunteers.

Our scholars

Throughout the year, we witnessed many achievements and a strong trajectory of transformation among our scholars. Some of the highlights include:

  • Rafaela and Fernando took on pupils leadership roles as Prefects, leading initiatives that strengthened the school community and inspired fellow students. They are responsible for the Wellbeing and STEM areas, respectively.
  • At the Prize Giving ceremony, 19 scholars were recognised for their academic achievements during the 2024–2025 academic year, in acknowledgement of their hard work and dedication.
  • Analú and Victor took part in the LAHC Camp, a student experience within an international conference that brings together British schools from across Latin America. They enjoyed days of cultural exchange, learning, and connection with students from different countries.
  • With the Foundation’s support, Manoela and Gustavo participated in the Harvard MLAB, a programme in which low-income students are selected to receive mentoring and English language development from Harvard students.
  • In June, we celebrated the graduation of four scholars: Mariana, Claudia, Enzo, and João Gabriel  continue their academic journeys at universities outside Brazil. Their respective destinations are the University of Notre Dame (USA), the University of Manchester (UK), Columbia University (USA), and the University of Chicago (USA).

Additional highlights include Maria Rosa, who represented St. Paul’s at the Parlamento Jovem in São Paulo, and Lorena, who earned multiple medals for her performance in swimming, including four gold medals at the Liga Água na Caixa.

Another memorable moment for our scholars this year was the School Play, which featured the participation of 27 scholars across both the cast and backstage roles. This large-scale theatrical production is one of the school’s most remarkable events in the annual calendar.

These achievements reflect not only the talent and dedication of our scholars, but also the invaluable contribution of our supporters and donors — our work would not be possible without their commitment.

Selection process

The 2024–2025 selection process concluded with the admission of 15 new scholars to St. Paul’s School in August. With this group, the school reached its centenary goal of 50 scholars enrolled in the Senior School.

The 2025–2026 selection process began with 140 applicants in February and progressed to the Prep Course stage with 21 students. The course is now preparing for its second term, beginning in early 2026, during which successful candidates will attend classes three times a week, with more in-depth content across several subjects. Looking ahead to 2027, applications for the next selection process will open on 10th February  and close on 30th March  2026.

We conclude another year filled with meaningful events, achievements, and growth for the Scholarship Programme. We extend our sincere thanks to all supporters and members of the community who helped make these moments possible. We remain committed to expanding opportunities for dedicated young people and to supporting each scholar throughout their journey. May the coming year be even more transformative.
