As the first semester of the St. Paul’s Foundation preparation course comes to an end this December, many children and their families are reflecting on the journey they have experienced. Beyond academic preparation and immersion in the English language, the programme has offered opportunities that broaden cultural, social, and personal horizons. More than simply a step towards an international education, the course has become a meaningful pathway for growth and transformation.
The experience throughout the Selection Process has been marked by academic development, English language study, and personal growth. According to Silvio, father of candidate Lissa, “each stage overcome so far has been a great learning experience for her, something she will take with her for life”, highlighting how the programme expands horizons and supports greater independence.
Erica, mother of candidate Carolina, also notes that “these interactions offer considerable academic and social development, which is beneficial for the school environment and for the children’s critical thinking”, emphasising the impact of bilingual exposure and new approaches to learning.
The preparation course goes beyond traditional study: it promotes transformation, strengthens confidence, and brings participants closer to an international future with greater assurance and purpose.
After the end of classes in December, the St Paul’s Foundation and St. Paul’s School assess the profile and performance of the candidates throughout the semester and select the group who will move on to the next stage of the preparatory course, still within the scholarship selection process for August 2026. From early February to late May 2026, the selected group will attend lessons three times a week at St Paul’s School in various subjects, in English, undergo psychological assessments, and receive a home visit from a social worker.
