On Saturday, 12th April, Fundação St. Paul’s held the Assessment Day — the second stage on the 2025–2026 Fundação St. Paul’s Scholarship Programme Selection Process.

During this phase, candidates attended the school for a morning of tests on cognitive and English skills, carried out on tablets or computers. The results provide valuable insights that help the Foundation and the school better understand each student’s learning profile and identify any academic support that might be needed if the candidate is selected to become a St. Paul’s scholar.

In total, 69 candidates participated in the Assessment Day. Of these, 33 were approved to move on to the next phase: individual interviews, which will take place throughout the month of May. These interviews aim to better understand the students, learn about their expectations regarding the selection process, and assess their English conversation skills.

We extend our thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the Assessment Day such a success.

Prep Course 2024–2025 Updates

Meanwhile, candidates in the Prep Course continue to progress through the steps of the selection process. At the moment, they are participating in interviews with a psychologist and receiving visits from a social worker.

They are now in the final month of the course and have become increasingly familiar with the school’s routines. Throughout the semester, they developed their English skills, built strong bonds with their peers, and had enriching experiences within the school environment. One of the highlights was the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with current Foundation scholars.

The Preparatory Course will conclude at the end of May, and the final selection will take place in June. The new scholars begin their journey at St. Paul’s School in August 2025.
