On Saturday, 27th April, the St. Paul’s Foundation welcomed the 2025 entry applicants and their parents at St. Paul’s School, for the Assessment Day.

Out of the 160 applicants, 83 students were called to sit cognitive and English literacy tests. These exams assess what the student knows and their areas of struggle and potential. To learn more about the tests and their role at the Selection Process, click here.

This stage represents the first time the candidates visit the school, making it a time of great excitement. Whilst the pupils sit the test, their families are welcomed by the Foundation team. This is a moment where not only they get to interact with each other, but also learn more details about the Selection Process directly from the staff.

“In each guidance and through each step of the process, it is noticeable the true dedication from the entire Foundation’s team. Being part of this process is the realisation of a dream, and besides the immense expectation for each stage, there is also immense gratitude”.

Out of the 83 students who sat the tests, 41 have moved on to the next stage, which encompasses individual interviews carried out in English with members of the St. Paul’s School Leadership.

These members talk to the candidates to get to know them better and understand their engagement with the Selection Process, their motivation and future aspirations. This interaction happens mostly in English, which adds more depth to the language skills assessment.

The applicants that are successful in the Individual Interview stage move on to the first term of the Preparation Course. Read more about the next phase of the Selection Process here.
