The St. Paul’s Foundation Scholarship Programme opens annual selection processes for students from Greater São Paulo to apply for a full scholarship to study at St. Paul’s School. Each cycle lasts approximately 18 months, and at the moment, there are two selection processes underway: one for entry in August 2025 and another for August 2026.

The 2024–2025 Selection Process, which opened at the beginning of last year, is nearing its end. The Prep Course — the final and longest phase of the selection — has already been completed, and we are now in the final stage of defining the new scholarship recipients. At this point, the Foundation team is consolidating and analysing each candidate’s data for decision-making.

The final decision will be made by the school’s leadership team in collaboration with the Foundation staff, and the results — with the names of those who will receive a scholarship offer to join St. Paul’s School — will be announced in the second half of June.

This moment marks the conclusion of a year-and-a-half-long process that was carried out with great care and attention. The journey begins with the application, followed by an assessment morning and interviews with members of the leadership team. Those who move forward take part in the Prep Course, which lasts one year and offers full immersion in English language and the Anglo-Brazilian curriculum of St. Paul’s School. During this period, candidates attend weekly classes at the school, take part in subject lessons, and also receive home visits from the a social worker and psychological evaluations.

Beyond academic development, the selection process offers candidates a valuable opportunity for personal growth. “This process was definitely one of the biggest transformations of my life, especially in terms of responsibility and maturity,” reflects candidate Laura.

The 2024–2025 Prep Course ended on 21st May, and participants received certificates of completion to mark their achievement. In the final steps, candidates also took part in family interviews, home visits by the social team, and psychological evaluations. We also held an online meeting with candidates’ families to celebrate the students’ progress and gather feedback about the experience throughout the programme.

2025–2026 Selection Process

Meanwhile, the 2025–2026 Selection Process, which began in February this year, is underway with some important updates. This is the first edition to adopt the new age range of 11 to 13 years — a change from previous years, which included a broader age group.

Of the 140 applicants in this new cycle, 69 took part in the Assessment Day and 33 advanced to the next stage: individual interviews with members of the school’s leadership. At this stage, we are also reviewing the family income information submitted during registration.

From these 33 candidates, a group of about 20 students will be selected to begin the Prep Course in August 2025, concluding in May 2026. This is an immersive phase in which students strengthen their English skills and get to know St. Paul’s School through weekly classes on campus.
