This month, St. Paul’s School celebrated the graduation of the Upper 6 class of 2025 — a milestone filled with emotion and pride for pupils , families, and the entire school community. Among the graduates were four scholars supported by the St. Paul’s Foundation: Claudia, Enzo, João Gabriel and Mariana.
Their story with St. Paul’s began in August 2021, at the height of the pandemic, when they joined the school as Form 4 pupils after going through the Foundation’s rigorous 18-month selection process. Their journey from that point until graduation has been one of dedication, resilience, and achievement.
On 7th June, the school hosted its traditional Graduation Ceremony, followed by a Graduation Ball later that evening. Both events were moments of great significance for everyone present, and especially the scholars and their families.
During the ceremony, Claudia performed a heartfelt rendition of “When We Were Young” and was also recognised with the Outstanding Improvement Award, celebrating her remarkable growth over the last year.
Enzo also stood out, receiving the Subject Award for Extended Essay, a recognition given to pupils who demonstrate excellence in academic research and writing.
Their journey
Each of the four scholars brought their unique talents and leadership to the St. Paul’s community, leaving a lasting mark on both the classroom and beyond.
Claudia and Mariana were appointed prefects, a leadership role that reflects their embodiment of the school’s values and their commitment to setting an example for younger students.
Enzo and João Gabriel distinguished themselves in academic competitions, such as Physics and Maths Olympiads.
Beyond their achievements, they fully immersed themselves in school life: building strong friendships, taking part in everyday moments that make school memorable, and embracing the challenges and joys of a vibrant academic environment. Whether collaborating on group projects, sharing laughs during break times, or supporting their peers, they helped shape a culture of inclusion and excellence.
Their journeys also extended beyond the school gates, with summer programmes at Cambridge, Oxford, and Yale broadening their horizons and enriching their sense of purpose. These experiences not only prepared them for the future but also reflected their readiness to embrace the world with confidence and curiosity.
Looking ahead
With graduation behind them, these scholars are now preparing for their next adventure — university life abroad.
- Claudia will be attending the University of Manchester (UK)
- Enzo will be joining Columbia University (USA)
- João Gabriel is set to start at the University of Chicago (USA)
- Mariana is heading to the University of Notre Dame (USA)
These remarkable destinations are the result of years of hard work, resilience, and the rigorous academic preparation they received at St. Paul’s. But beyond grades and accolades, what truly set them apart were their drive, curiosity, and the confidence they built throughout their time at school.
Their success is a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when talent meets opportunity. It reflects the deep and lasting impact of the Foundation’s scholarship programme, made possible by the generosity of our donors and the unwavering support of the St. Paul’s community. These journeys speak to a mission that goes far beyond academic success: they are about opening doors, nurturing potential, and shaping futures.
