St. Paul’s School has recently announced the new Senior School prefects team. Among the 15 pupils in Lower 6 selected to take on different roles in the Senior School, we have two of our scholars: Mariana and Claudia!

In a nutshell, prefects are student leaders who embody the school values and become role models for the younger. They also ensure the pupil’s voice is heard throughout the school.

This year, we have Mariana as Science Prefect and Claudia as Wellbeing Prefect. About the role, Mariana says she would like to make pupils more comfortable and interested in discovering the world, as well as make the school environment more fun for learning. As for Claudia, she aims to continue to add to our great community and start a guardian angel training to help our pupils as they welcome new peers.

As scholars, they both agree their experiences allow them to bring different perspectives to this role. Claudia adds that when she first joined the school, having a guardian angel helped make her transition smoother, which is what she hopes to continue to do, even for new pupils who are not scholars.

This is not the first time our scholars have taken on leadership roles within the school. In the 2021-2022 academic year, Ana Claudia Bido acted as the Sports Prefect — you can read more about her journey here.

We’re so proud of them and looking forward to seeing the positive changes they will keep on bringing to our community!
